Infos for Students
We are happy to welcome 259 Deutschlandstipendium holders in the year 2019/20!
What is the Deutschlandstipendium? The Deutschlandstipendium at KIT consists of a monthly grant of 300 € for one year. The scholarship is paid independently of income and parents and does not count towards BAföG. Half of the scholarships are financed by private sponsors (companies, private individuals, foundations, and associations) and the other half by the federal government.
Who can apply? Applications are open to students and first-year students of all nationalities who are already enrolled at KIT or who start their studies at KIT. The Deutschlandstipendium supports students whose current academic performance promises exceptional academic achievements. In addition to outstanding achievements at school and/or university, the eligibility criteria includes social commitment, e.g. in associations or in university politics, in church or political organizations, and commitment in the social environment, in the family, or in a social institution. The overcoming of particular biographical hurdles resulting from family or cultural background is also taken into account.
