KIT high-tech incubators
Incubators are known from biology and medicine. Their functional principle is to create optimal conditions for breeding and growth processes. But even demanding technology-oriented projects in the scientific environment require specific conditions and services.
In order to offer these projects a home of their own at KIT, the first KIT high-tech incubator was founded in 2008. Thus, fully equipped office and laboratory rooms are available for selected projects. Since this offer was so positively received and the first KIT high-tech incubator is meanwhile fully occupied, a further building with office space and meeting rooms was put into operation as an extension of the incubator from 2012. Both buildings are managed by the Innovation and Relations Management (IRM).
