Profile of the Leadership Talent Academy
What is the Leadership Talent Academy?
The Leadership Talent Academy (LTA) is a support program initiated by the Karl Schlecht Foundation for the development of "Good Leadership". The LTA is implemented in cooperation with selected universities. The target group is talented students and young leaders from the STEM sciences. KSG's goal is to provide young, talented people with access to ethical-humanistic issues in business and leadership beyond their technical education. Hereby, KSG strives for a holistic personality development of tomorrow's leaders in the sense of "Good Leadership". The interdisciplinary content of the program, which is implemented with different modules at various universities, is achieved through the involvement of experts from the KSG network.
The Leadership Talent Academy@KIT
The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) offers its students and doctoral candidates a research-oriented education at top scientific level. In order for them to gain the necessary competencies as tomorrow's leaders and to fully exploit their professional and personal potential for the benefit of our society, personality development is offered as an additional tool beyond the professional curricula.
How is the Leadership Talent Academy structured?
The unique curriculum of the Leadership Talent Academy aims at value-oriented personality and career development in the qualification of future managers. Participants have the opportunity to get to know themselves intensively and are also given the opportunity for exchange, reflection and networking.
The support program includes various workshop and seminar days on topics such as Good Leadership, Career Inside Yourself, Authentic Leadership, Communication & Conflicts, Resilient Mind, Business Integrity and Digital Fairness. The curriculum is rounded off by coaching offers and alumni events.
Who is the Leadership Talent Academy for?
In the fourth round as well, selected top master students and PhD students of KIT, from the engineering and natural science environment, will be invited to this exclusive support program.
Preferably, they should be on the verge of a transition into professional life, have thought about a later leadership activity, and want to further qualify themselves for this in terms of a value-oriented personality and career development. The program is suitable for all those who are interested in leadership and would like to grow into leadership responsibility.

When does the Leadership Talent Academy start and how can I apply?
The Leadership Talent Academy will start this summer semester on Mon, 24.04.2023.
Unfortunately, it is not currently possible to apply to participate in the Leadership Talent Academy. The next round will begin in the winter semester of 2023/24. If you are interested in the support program, please register at lta∂irm.kit.edu. We will inform you as soon as there is news about the application process and the current program.
