First-Semester Welcoming 2012

About 4,700 first semester students started their studies at KIT in the winter semester 2012/2013 and were ceremonially welcomed on Friday, October 12, 2012, with a first semester welcome in the Garden Hall.

In addition to the official welcome of the freshman students by the KIT Presidium, the diverse stage program included the awarding of prizes to particularly committed students. The musical interludes of the KIT Big Band, the cabaret artist Abdelkarim, and the first semester quiz provided both varied entertainment and a good atmosphere.

At the following standing reception, first-year students were able to inform themselves about the numerous faculties and central facilities of KIT and to establish first contacts with the KIT partners who supported the event.
