Review Freshman Welcome 2022

About 5,000 first-semester students started their studies at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in the winter semester 2022/2023. KIT traditionally welcomed its new students with a ceremonial first semester welcome.

After the premiere last year, the ceremony was again held in the Audimax. Ina Kruwinnus, who coordinates the "digital school" team at the Karlsruhe district, could be won as moderator.

After the welcoming speeches by various representatives of the university and the city, the Presidential Board presented awards for special achievements to particularly committed students.

It was an entertaining evening with topics around studying at KIT, an interactive round table, music by the KIT Big Band, FameLab with Dr. Christian Scharun, IPad magic with Christoph Wilke, and an information exhibition with many university groups and important services at KIT as well as corporate partners.
