KIT-Deutschlandstipendium

What is the Deutschlandstipendium?

The KIT awards the Deutschlandstipendium to particularly committed and outstanding students. The Deutschlandstipendium is a project jointly financed by private sponsors, industry, and the federal government. The donation of private individuals, foundations, or companies is doubled by the federal government.

How do you as a sponsor benefit from the Deutschlandstipendium?

As a sponsor, you assume social responsibility and establish contacts with the top executives of tomorrow - with your donation for the Deutschlandstipendium. Benefit from KIT's unique selection procedure: Already during the application process, students indicate their desired sponsor. Thus, you can be sure that your scholarship holder is also interested in your company.

How do you as a student* benefit from the Deutschlandstipendium?

You receive 300 € per month for the duration of one year. The scholarship is paid independently of income and parents and does not count towards BAföG. In addition, make contact with your sponsors, which will help you when you start your career later or when writing your diploma or master's thesis.

Who can apply?

Students and first-year students* of all nationalities who are already enrolled at KIT or who start their studies at KIT are eligible to apply. The Deutschlandstipendium supports students whose previous career path promises outstanding academic achievements. Besides special successes at school and/or university, the criteria for support include social commitment, for example in associations or in university politics, in church or political organizations, and commitment in the social environment, in the family, or in a social institution. The overcoming of particular biographical hurdles resulting from family or cultural background is also taken into account.
